Our Team

Brian has been a Consultant serving clients with IG Wealth Management since 2009. He joined our team in January 2021. As Brian will tell you, his previous career as a manager of customer service & operations at a major grocery chain was ideal preparation for his work as a financial advisor. Attention to detail, the ability to explain in clear terms, and his respectfulness are hallmarks of his approach with clients.

Brian is passionate about life and the opportunity to assist and work with people from all walks of life to improve their financial situation, giving them confidence to achieve their financial goals. He was born and raised in Nanaimo and lives with his spouse Sara. When out of the office Brian loves getting out to the golf course, spending time with family, and going up to the mountain for a day in the snow.

Fred has been a trusted Consultant with IG Private Wealth Management for over 40 years, and he is still after all these years excited about what he does. He loves helping clients achieve their financial goals by providing sound and professional financial planning and advice.

Fred has extensive volunteer community involvement over the years with organizations such as the Vancouver Island University Foundation, United Way, Oceanside Rotary, Nanaimo-Ladysmith Schools Foundation, Duck’s Unlimited, IG Walk for Alzheimer’s, and Eden Gardens. Fred’s interests include spending time with family, camping and sitting by a big fire, fishing, fireworks, his valued knife collection, and he also likes to promote the many virtues of salt.

Curt has been with IG Private Wealth Management since 2015 and joined our team in 2017, as his values align with Fred’s in always looking out for clients' best interests. Curt has an extensive business and customer service background. He retired as Publisher of Nanaimo Daily News in 2012 and played an advisory role to several businesses until joining IG.  

Curt and his wife Deb have always been active in the Island community, serving on several boards and volunteering for many charitable groups, including Vancouver Island University Foundation, Oceanside Rotary, YPN, IG Walk for Alzheimer’s, Nanaimo-Ladysmith Schools Foundation, and Eden Gardens. Curt and Deb have one son Michael, who recently moved back to Nanaimo with his wife Laura and Curt’s beautiful granddaughter Madeleine and grandson Lincoln. When he’s not working, you’ll often see Curt out walking his dogs.

Lois has worked with Fred for over 27 years, first as an Assistant and now as an Associate. She has many years of experience in the financial planning industry and is enjoying her current role as an Operational Associate / Practice Manager. Her job is to ensure clients are provided with the best service possible from our team.

Lois has considerable volunteer experience through the Vancouver Island University Festival of Trees, IG Walk for Alzheimer’s, and Relay for Life, to name a few. Lois enjoys outdoor activities such as running, boating with her spouse, kayaking, golfing and hiking. She loves to get out and explore our beautiful Vancouver Island!
